Anna Julia Antonucci "Woman with a temperament"

 

Anna Julia Antonucci is a German actress born in Portugal and raised bilingual with Portuguese and German. She lives both in Berlin and Los Angeles and is a Green Card holder.

 

Anna started her acting career with age 12 as Dorothy in the English play “The Wizard of Oz” . Growing up on the Bavarian countryside, she also used to dance Flamenco for over 10 years, performing on many stages as a solo dancer. After her A levels, she escaped the suburban life and moved to Berlin in order to attend acting school. Straight after her diploma she played the lead in the successful soap opera “Among Us”.

 

Over the past decade Anna has established herself as a leading actress in Germany starring in some of the most successful movies and television shows. She starred alongside Til Schweiger (known from “Inglourious Basterds”) in “Kokowaeaeh”, one of Germany’s top grossing movies of all times. She starred in German films like, “Jerry Cotton”, Heiter bis wolkig” and more. In 2013 she was on air with the German adaption of “The new adventures of old Christine”, being nominated as best series for the German TV award in the same year. In the action TV series “Alarm for Cobra 11” sold to over 65 countries worldwide she played the tough DIA officer in several episodes alongside Tom Beck. Anna took part in numerous TV movies, so also in the drama  "Invisible Years", directed by Grimme Prize winner Johannes Fabrick, where she played the sister of Julia Koschitz. In fall 2017 she starred alongside Veronica Ferres (known from “Salt and Fire”) in the feature film “Unter deutschen Betten” released by FOX International. Anna gained international success with her lead in the short “Fruit flies” which won several awards. In the U.S., she shot the project “Time to go” with Navid Negahban, known from “Homeland”.

In Los Angeles she also started getting into producing. Her first project: BEEF WELLINGTON, written by Simon Mirren (“Criminal Minds”, “Versailles”). Anna plays the lead next to Wil Traval (known from Netflix’ “Jessica Jones”) its world premiere took place at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Inspired by the practical approach, she decided to go back to college and completed successfully her studies as a producer at Filmhaus Studio Babelsberg in spring 2018. In 2018, she shot the second season of the successful comedy TV show “Bad Moms” which was nominated for the German Comedy Award in 2017. "Rabenmütter” also found great popularity on Youtube.

In 2019 she wrapped the first season of “Schwester Schwester”. The weekly show with Anna in lead is broadcast since January 2020 on German RTL channel and is produced by UFA fiction.
